# Super Quick Guide to Namada Cross-Chain Shielding

So you wanna contribute to privacy as a public good?

Follow these steps:
1. Install the Namada Keychain here [https://namada.net/keychain](https://namada.net/keychain)
2. Create a Namada account
3. Go to [https://www.namadillo.app](https://www.namadillo.app/)
4. Connect your Keychain to Namadillo
5. On Namadillo, go to Shield Assets → IBC Shield
6. Connect your KEPLR wallet
7. Select the network and asset
* Currently supporting
* Noble / USDC
* Cosmos / ATOM
* Celestia / TIA
* Osmosis / OSMO
* Stride / stTIA, stATOM, stOSMO
* NYM / NYM
* Neutron / NTRN
* Penumbra / UM
* Any amount helps!
8. Enter amount
9. Select “Shielded”
10. Click “Submit”
11. Approve tx on KEPLR
12. Wait a few seconds...

And voilà, you just completed your first cross-chain shield!

# Ledger HW

If you're using a Ledger HW with the Keychain:
1. Make sure you have Namada Ledger app v3.0.4
- If you cannot find this in the Ledger Live store, you must update the firmware of your device first
2. If you added your keys to the Namada keychain prior to the last 4 weeks, please delete the key and readd them. This has to be done in order to discover the correct shielded public keys.

*Note that Ledger Nano S is not supported*

# FAQ / Troubleshooting

**1. IBC transaction failing on the destination chain**
- In the case the transaction is succesful on Namada's side, but fails in the destination chain due to an issue with relayers, you might see the error message below:
- In these cases you can get a refund of the failed transaction
- To do so, follow the steps in [this video](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Cv9zaMbOdTN99bdVxgzJPIuccTLQM89l/view?usp=drive_link).
- Meanwhile the team is working on improving the UX in these cases.
