# About the course

## Structure
The course you're about to take follows a very similar structure to our full-time, 6-week tech sales program (although, of course, much shorter!)

* There are 5 sections with 4-5 lessons each.
* Each lesson covers basic concepts and includes supporting videos from industry leaders.
* You will have a final challenge at the end to complete to earn your certificate

1. **Intro to tech**
"The tech industry" can be an elusive term, especially, if you've never worked in the tech industry. In our first module, we cover the basics: what do we mean by the tech industry? What does a tech company look like?

2. **Intro to sales**
Many people have the wrong idea of sales in their heads. In this section, we will cover what sales is, what it isn't, and two core concepts to understand modern-day sales: the buyer's journey and the sales process.

3. **The tech sales career**
Chances are if you're taking this course, you're considering starting your career in technology sales. In this section, we give you a glimpse into the day-to-day activities and long-term career paths and opportunities behind Tech Sales.

4. **What makes a great salesperson?**
You might think some people are just born being good at sales, but it's not true. There are certain skills which you can work on to become atop salesperson over time.

5. **Why work in Tech Sales**
To wrap up we will cover some of the most important reasons why we believe Tech Sales is a fulfilling, rewarding, future-proof career choice.

6. **Challenges**
To complete the course, you will have to successfully complete two challenges that will give you a better idea of what working in sales really feels like.
