--- tags: Module 8, Assignment, Onboarding training --- # ✍️ Assignment 1: Prepare your demo template Similar to discovery call templates, these are not scripts you follow word by word. Your template should include a clear structure, storyline (!) and questions so you're prepared for your meeting. Leave space to make notes prior to the call based on your research and have it at hand during your call. It should follow the structure we have presented: 1. Intro - What is the agenda? 2. Recap findings and present the why - What are the key findings from your discovery call? - What is the "promised land" you'd like to present your prospect? 3. Demo - What features will you showcase and why? - In what order (storyline)? - Again, ideally you are telling a compelling story from the prospect's point of view that helps them visualize how working with you will help them address a need 4. Recap and Feedback - Leave space to take notes here 5. Next steps - Leave space to take notes here ## Remember - [ ] Your demo template should include a bullet point based description on how you will lead through the demo. Think of directions rather than a script. - [ ] Know what you are going to show when and WHY. - [ ] Only show features attending to the core challenges / objectives of your prospect. - [ ] Use storytelling! Create images in your prospects mind, telling a story using a scenario from their perspective. Hint: Phrases like "Imagine" or "Let's assume" are great introductions to stories. - [ ] Remember to ask questions that allow you to further learn about your prospects challenges, motivations and what they mean for her / him. ## 🏋️‍♂️ Your turn! - [ ] Design your own demo template following the best practices introduced to you during this module. - [ ] Prepare it for the same prospect that you conducted your mock discovery call for in module 7. - [ ] **Limit the demo to 15 min. max!** Focus on the most relevant aspects to the prospect. The demo will be the natural continuation of the sales process following your mock discovery call. This means that everything you learned during the DC needs to be accounted for in your demo 😉 . Format of delivery: Upload your template including a description on how you will lead through the demo meeting. We are curious to read what you want to get across and how you plan to do so. Please **share an editable online doc** text editing software like Google Docs (or comparable). <style> body > .ui-infobar, body > .ui-toc, body > .ui-affix-toc, body > .ui-community, body > .document-footer { display: none !important; } </style>
