# The not-so-secret secret to closing
Now that we've had a little bit of fun, we want to reiterate the point we brought up in the previous lesson.
Even though there are certain techniques and tactics you can use to improve your chances of closing a sale, make no mistake:
**Closing the deal is the natural outcome of a sales process done well**
Closing is not something you trick your customers into. It's not an action you do at the end of the sales funnel. Rather, it's the natural progression of your sales deal. If you have worked diligently on generating your the lead based on your ICP and ICB, qualified the prospect, learnt about their challenges and demonstrated how you can effectively address them, closing the deal should be a natural outcome.
