By now, hopefully you should have a better understanding of the tech world.
It's now time to take a deep dive into the basics of sales! Let's have a look at what we will cover throughout this module 👇
## Module summary
In this module, we will offer a brief introduction into the world of sales.

We will share what modern day sales is really about
2. **How customers buy today: the buyer's journey and personas**
We will introduce one of the most important core concepts in sales and marketing: the buyer's journey.
3. **Introduction to the sales process and funnel**
The sales funnel and process are essentially looking at the buyer's journey from the companies perspective. We will cover these two key concepts that will be the cornerstone of your training in Stages 2 and 3.
4. **Your turn: assignment**
We will ask you to craft a buyer's journey and the resulting sales process for Hyrise Academy.
