# Recap emails
:::info
ℹ️ You’re in Step 3 of a demo call: Closing
:::
You have just come out of a demo which you feel you have nailed.
Your prospect loved the features you showed and confirmed that these would solve a problem they have had for some time. In the end, your prospect actively requested a proposal and agreed to review it with you in a call you have already scheduled for next week.
🥳 **First of all, congratulations!**
🤔 Now, what is next?
😁 You know what's next.
Following the pattern you already know from previous modules and sales stages, it now is about sending a meaningful recap mail that sums it all up and outlines next steps. As with any recap mail, make sure to send it within 24 hours of your demo meeting.
Quick reminder on the goals of your recap mail:
1. Summarize the highlights and major take-aways of your meeting. Otherwise you and your prospects will forget.
2. Re-confirm next steps. Get your prospects buy-in on what has been agreed verbally. Putting it in writing reinforces their commitment.
Below are a couple of example of possible templates you can use. However, your most important take-away should be: as long as you highlight key meeting take-aways and next steps, it doesn't really matter which format your email follows.
We are big fans of keeping it short, to the point and in bulleted format (easier to read and quicker to scan).

- We’ll put together a sustainability report highlighting areas of improvement in your environmental policies
- We’ll audit your waste to find areas of cost savings
- You mentioned you’ll need to discuss this with your boss, so I’m attaching the following resources: A case study from Joe Threads, another company in the online men’s retail space, and some testimonials from current customers.
In terms of next steps, here is what we have agreed on:
- Sharing the case study for your boss (please find it attached)
