--- tags: Week 8, H3, M12 --- # The skill of storytelling Before we dive deep into each of the stages to a successful sales demo, we want to begin by sharing one of the most important aspects to running them successfully. :::success **📕 Tell a story.** ::: You have certainly heard of this before. In essence, storytelling is the skill of wrapping facts and information into personal experiences so they're easier to follow, relate to and remember for your listeners. That's exactly why it's key skill to master not only for sales, but for everything in life. Storytelling is especially applicable and effective in product demos. Keep it in mind as you progress through this module. - When you begin by sharing your worldview, present the prospect with a story. - When you show your product's 2 to 3 core features in context to your prospect's pain, do so telling a story (rather than just listing "boring" facts). In this story you can share, for example, how another of your customers uses feature A to tackle the exact same pain your prospect has and what their experienced benefits are today.
