# Next steps

By now you should be familiar with the dynamics of the course and ready to begin your sales training 🚀

Below you will find a list of tasks to do before you begin your training.

## Next steps

- [ ] **Introduce yourself to the community both in the "general" and "squad" channel** on slack. We recommend you mention:
- Your name and age
- Where you come from
- What you did before
- A private fun photo you are comfortable sharing
- [ ] **Join your official Hyrise onboarding session and inital meeting.** You should have received an invitation by mail or will receive one shortly. Please make time to attend. For the first week only, this meeting will be 75 minutes and include a 60 minute onboarding and your first weekly planning (15 minutes).

- [ ] **Contact at least two fellow Hyrisers on Slack** and schedule a quick “coffee talk” to get to know each other.
- [ ] **Familiarize yourself with the Hyrise Studio** (you have a walkthrough in the "Extra" section in this module if necessary).

"What is this module about preparing my career journey? Why not jump straight to the sales training?"

Before you start your sales training, we want to get you thinking about your career. The sales training is just a minor step in your bigger goal: kickstarting your career in tech sales!

In this module, you will go through some introspection exercises to help you figure out your ideal career path, identify what is most important to you in a job, your goals, strengths and weaknesses.

Once you have done this, we will begin to build your social profiles to reflect these findings so we can start sharing it with employers and set you up for a successful job search.
