# ✍️ Assignment 2: Conduct your first demo meeting
With your template in hand, it's now time to conduct your demo meeting!
## Here's the assignment
- [ ] Reach out to a Hyrise community member of your choice and ask them to act as prospect for your mock demo (duration: 30 min, 15-20 min demo and 10 min. feedback). We recommend asking one of your previous squad members 😉 . Alternatively, ask one of your work colleagues.
- [ ] Share details on the prospect that this person is supposed to act as: Company, name of contact, job title, challenges / motivations they have and any useful information you have on that person (ideally, share their LinkedIn profile if they have one).
- [ ] Schedule a meeting slot and send a calendar invite (make sure your invite includes a video conferencing link like Zoom or MS Teams).
- [ ] For the demo you will use your company's product
- [ ] Make sure you familiarize yourself with your product before giving the demo. You don't need to become a pro, but you need to know the core features that are relevant to your prospect based on the scenario.
- [ ] Have everthing prepared and available before logging onto the demo.
## Next steps
- [ ] Share the below listed demo evaluation checklist with your demo prospect (Hyrise community member or other) and ask her / him to fill it out during or after the demo.
- [ ] Run through the demo.
- [ ] At the end of the call, your agreed next steps should include to follow up with a proposal and optionally, schedule a meeting to review it.
- [ ] Exchange feedback on general observations, what went well and areas of improvement.
:::info
We have created a checklist you can use to evaluate your demo call. Share it with your fellow Hyriser (or whoever is acting as your prospect) and ask her / him to fill it out accordingly during / after your demo call.

## 🤔 After the demo
Once you're done with your demo, move on to module 10 to learn how to create compelling proposals and how to close the deal 😉 .
Best of luck!
