# The Sales Funnel 2.0
Sales funnels get a little more complex than what you've seen until now.
Now that you're familiar with the concept of a sales funnel and the sales process, let's look at an example of a complete sales funnel. The Sales as a Science or "SaaS" methodology (not related to Software as a Service) covers the whole funnel from end-to-end, from generating leads, to qualifying them and closing the sale, all the way to onboarding and upselling customers.
If you're going to work within a sales team, it's important for you to have a complete overview of what a sales funnel looks like, and the purpose and ownership at each stage.
We don't expect you to understand everything from the following video yet, but we want you to get a holistic understanding of what the SaaS Sales methodology looks like and how it works.
When you join your future employer, chances are you will find a variation of the funnel explained in the video.
