As the name suggests, the project dedicates making a separate rail line for the goods train exclusively.
The project consists of two different routes:
1-W(West)-DFC- The line stretches from Jawaharlal Nehru Port in Mumbai (Maharashtra) to Dadri in Uttar Pradesh. The total distance it covers is 1504km.
2-E(East)-DFC-Stretching from Ludhiana in Punjab to Dankuni in West Bengal. The total distance it covers is 1856 km.
