Why Terrifier 2 Is So Violent Any successful sequel must up the ante from the original. This is no small feat considering the sheer brutality of Terrifier. Damien Leone explained to Variety that in the bedroom scene, he saw an opportunity to rival the equally infamous hacksaw scene from the original Terrifier. That scene was a solid entrant in the modern horror landscape, garnering notoriety and placing Art the Clown among the pantheon of horror villain icons. Terrifier 2's bedroom scene expands upon this level of shock and disgust — successfully, gauging the public response. Leone based much of the scene on a photograph of a Jack the Ripper victim, attempting to "reverse engineer" the abject horror and destruction created by one of the most brutal serial killers in history. Essentially the scene is therefore an attempt to out-gore the original in a manner befitting a true killer. J.R.R. Tolkien’s First Version Of The Hobbit Told A Different Gollum Story In J.R.R. Tolkien's original version of The Hobbit, Bilbo and Gollum's interaction in the caves was far more pleasant. Gollum's trinket, which certainly was special to him, was an understood part of the wager between them since he had willingly offered it up himself. So, in The Hobbit, when Bilbo won their battle of the wits with his tricky riddle, Gollum was displeased, but he recognized it as fair. They went their separate ways, and Bilbo gained a valuable new tool. There was no indication in this version of the story that the ring was anything more than a little magical. It was helpful in the plot because Bilbo could use it to make himself invisible (which made his skills as a burger all the more admirable). In the same sense, Gollum was a far less piteous creature. As a whole, The Hobbit had been a reasonably short, whimsical tale of a clever hobbit who met with a mysterious creature in a mysterious cave and won a mysterious ring. Black Panther 2 Sets Up Vibranium As An Infinity Stones Replacement Wakanda Forever sets Vibranium up to be the Multiverse Saga's version of the Infinity Stones. Vibranium's MCU origins are unknown, arriving ages ago on two asteroids, each of which gave birth to a nation, Wakanda and Talokan. While Vibranium isn't on the same power level as the Infinity Stones, it has become a MacGuffin of sorts that characters from all across the globe are dying to get their hands on. With unlimited versatility for use in technology, weapons manufacturing, and even medicine, Vibranium is the key to the future for every civilization in the MCU. Naturally, those without access to the precious metal desperately seek to acquire its vast potential. The race for Vibranium is a storyline that will certainly extend far beyond Phase 4. Wakanda Forever complicated T'Challa's legacy, revealing the dire problems that came as a result of his decision to open his country to the rest of the world. With Vibranium's secrets now known to the global community, some groups have taken it upon themselves to raid Wakanda's resources, even going so far as to risk war by attacking outreach centers in an attempt to steal it. Kirby Might Be Taking Sidney's Original Scream 6 Role What Sidney's role in Scream 6's story was hasn't been revealed, it feels likely it would have been on par with her supporting part in the fifth film. The killings start up again and Sidney is pulled into the investigation around the second act. Judging from the trailer, Kirby will be filling in that role for Scream 6. Rumors suggest Kirby could be a detective or even an FBI agent in the sixth outing, which would not only explain her involvement but her experience with the Ghostface killings would be an asset. Panettiere's Kirby return is a big deal to Scream devotees, but more than that, the character could be filling in the role left behind by Sidney. While she's no longer part of the story, Sidney's part was almost certainly divided among Scream 6's other main characters. While trailers can be deceiving, the previews certainly make it appear that Kirby will be the one dispensing some OG Final Girl wisdom this time. Melissa Barrera's Sam, Tara (Jenna Ortega) and co are hardly novices when it comes to surviving Ghostface attacks, but Panettiere's connection to the Wes Craven era makes her return feel more impactful.
