J.R.R. Tolkien’s First Version Of The Hobbit Told A Different Gollum Story In J.R.R. Tolkien's original version of The Hobbit, Bilbo and Gollum's interaction in the caves was far more pleasant. Gollum's trinket, which certainly was special to him, was an understood part of the wager between them since he had willingly offered it up himself. So, in The Hobbit, when Bilbo won their battle of the wits with his tricky riddle, Gollum was displeased, but he recognized it as fair. They went their separate ways, and Bilbo gained a valuable new tool. There was no indication in this version of the story that the ring was anything more than a little magical. It was helpful in the plot because Bilbo could use it to make himself invisible (which made his skills as a burger all the more admirable). In the same sense, Gollum was a far less piteous creature. As a whole, The Hobbit had been a reasonably short, whimsical tale of a clever hobbit who met with a mysterious creature in a mysterious cave and won a mysterious ring. Naturally, those without access to the precious metal desperately seek to acquire its vast potential. The race for Vibranium is a storyline that will certainly extend far beyond Phase 4. Wakanda Forever complicated T'Challa's legacy, revealing the dire problems that came as a result of his decision to open his country to the rest of the world. With Vibranium's secrets now known to the global community, some groups have taken it upon themselves to raid Wakanda's resources, even going so far as to risk war by attacking outreach centers in an attempt to steal it. In this way, Vibranium has become the valuable resource that the Infinity Stones were in the MCU's first three phases, affecting every character and storyline in the unfurling Multiverse Saga. 2/1/2023HOTD Finale’s Vhagar Scene Proves How Horrifying The War Will Be Considering how easily Vhagar was able to kill Arrax, House of the Dragon’s civil war will be far more devastating with at least five dragons on each side at various times. Not only will the dragons be killing one another, but the massive and unpredictable creatures will surely demolish any fields, castles, armies, and communities in their way. Aemond’s inability to control Vhagar in House of the Dragon’s season 1 finale proved that the creatures can only be mastered up to a certain point, so once they’re in the heat of battle, dragonriders won’t be able to contain their destruction. As such, the scene of Vhagar looming over Arrax is simply a precursor to the stunning and horrifying dragon moments to come.
