# The Silentspire family

The Silentspire family rose to prominence, when Magnius Silentspire, then a 20 year old day layborer, won a lot for a small plot of land in the [Dragonbane Mountains](/Ie0vj2JPTiGaGyYIC4hzjQ), during a game of dice.

The plot was in a part of the mountains belived to be void of precious minerals or metals, unlike the regions farther to the north, where the vulcanic activity produces a mineral rich bedrock.
To everyone's surprise, Magnius discovered a rich adamantium vein and quickly secured mining rights for a large portion of the land in the area.

The discovery of adamantium created a new mining industry on the south-west side of the Dragonbane Mountains and reinvigorated the weapon industry in [Viroleda](/B3hHeYCQSweU2YTLysmR6Q), who had previously been relying on imported precious metals, for their crafting.

Being majority share holders in the [South-West Dragonbane Mining Company](/7wc5p_InRiWIZ8PL8-Jspg), the Silentspire family holds a great deal of respect and power in the Viroleda high society.

Krado Silentspire, the great great grand-son of Magnius, developed an interest in the various historic artifacts that were occasionally brought up from the mines, so he created the Viroleda History Museum, where he curates the collection. The museum is widely known for its many artifacts from all over the world, and the Dragonbane Mountains in particular.

[Darcel Silentspire](/bl9m8IA2RXSq6fZOM4EJLw) is the youngest member of the Silentspire family.
