# Session 20 (2022-09-24)

## Current status
[The previous session](/IQna9M3mRvqQTF1OTzTD4g) ended with us escaping the cave under the big tree, being persued by several of the needle creatures.

## Finishing the fight
Finished the fight and explored the cave under the tree.
There was damage to the roots where the creatures had attached themselves, but after Aelan had a little chat with the tree, we were certain that it would heal itself.

## Setting up camp
We set up camp in a clearing near the tree and there were a lot of flowers nearby. During the night, I was feeling drowsy and get the impression that the flowers were the cause.

I woke up [Aelen](/8uCZ8WhjQeyghi-_mxgOFg) and we moved camp. [Zov](/cfjMmRWhRx2a5saKtmMwaQ) was impossible to wake, so we dragged her. When we got further away from the flowers, Zov woke up.

## Towards The Green Man
The next morning, I went back to the flowers and cut one of them. It seemed to bleed.

We walked towards [The Green Man](/tvvZFxX4Tp-NipoQNpdP-w#The-Green-Man) and on the way there, we seemed to be followed by some vines on the edge of the river, so we moved further into the forest, which apparently caused the creature/plant to lose our scent.

## The Green Man's clearing
At the location where we previously met The Green Man, there were now large trees and no clearing to be found. The old fire pit was still there.

Aelen had a chat with a tree and it told us which direction The Green Man went in. We agreed to go there the following day.

I shot a deer and used some of the meat for a stew, the rest we smoked.
Zov will make me a hat from the pelt.
I have faith in her that this will be the best hat ever.

## A dog in the fire
During the night, a dog came out of the fire, as Aelen was keeping watch.
The dog seemed friendly and talkative, but wouldn't give us his name and he decided to leave us, as he had something he needed to do, which he also refused to tell us about.

## Finding The Green Man
We set out to find The Green Man, but after another chat with a tree, we agreed that it was probably better to go back and wait for him, as he usually returns within a couple of days.

We set up camp again and waited for another day until he returned.

The Green Man returned as expected and agreed to lift his part of the spell, but didn't really help us in any other way or provided us with any useful information, other than telling us that [The Prince of the Chase](/tvvZFxX4Tp-NipoQNpdP-w#Prince-of-the-Chase) looked like a large elf, somewhat reminiscent of [Wayland the Smith](/2y-aLZ_4QZy2WphBmHVedg).

## Crossing the river and going South
It was decided to cross the river and head straight south through the forest.

At night we set up camp on a hill and during the night a group of little hairy creatures with hooves started drumming and dancing.
Assuming this was a rave that all could attend, we started dancing around as well, which seemed to scare them off.

Where they were dancing, I found a diamond worth 600 gp.

## Further South and meeting dryads
The next day we travelled further South until we came to the main road, that goes from West to East of [The Forgery](/uWzfqyfFRW2D_bbPMdgfOg).

Here we set up camp and during the night a group of dryads came by. They were a little scared of us, but otherwise friendly and we did our best to communicate with them.


After a while we said goodbye and went back to camp to rest.
