# Session 08 (2022-06-04)

## Current status
[Previous session](/pgFZ_ucrRxOYw54GtUfPEA) ended with the group sleeping at [The Shaggy Willow Inn](Ccl0zw4SQc6Z83MED4Hamg#The-Shaggy-Willow-Inn), with the intention of going to deliver the letter to the king in the morning.

## Going To The Wizard
Stan insisted on going to [Royal Magician Estear Noire](#Royal-Magician-Estear-Noire) to deliver the chest before we went to [King Dhavir](/QkILODpeR6mQHrJ_63ddKg) with the letter.

There is a section of the city, that is closed off behind a big wall and the castle and fancier buildings are behind this wall.

There were fancy dwarven city guards are at the gates and one of them led us to the royal mage.

The mage welcomed us and invited us in, where we went up some stairs to a room and the chest was opened by magical means. There were leather pouches inside, but he wouldn't tell us what was in the pouches. I'm fairly certain it's weed.

The reward was a universal antidote, which clears poison status.

## Going to The King
After reading the letter, the king calls an officer and tells him that the Sandbeards are besieging [Imyr City](/LfoRx_GvTSeEkH4qYqM_Vw). He orders the officer to take a legion to go and disperse the clan.

Afterwards, I had a nice chat with the king about mining and weapon crafting. He would like to have apprentices sent to [Viroleda City](/B3hHeYCQSweU2YTLysmR6Q) to be taught our craft and he also offers to send dwarves to work the mines.

## Towards Osthaven
Before leaving, I went back to the mage and bought a healing potion for 50 gold pieces.

The journey towards [Osthaven](/c0VsF4eiQmWukiu42_aXEQ) went smooth without any issue.
In Osthaven we bought woolen winter cloaks, woolen blankets and a 6 (dwarf) person tent.

## Towards The Border
The weather was fine and we arrived at the border in a couple of days.
We set up our tent next to the dwarves and shared their food and company for the evening.

## Entering The Northern Baronies
The next day we travelled East and made sure to stay off the main road.
On one night we were attacked by three giant centipedes, which we disposed of without trouble.

On the 5th or 6th day, we found statues of two elven men while setting up camp. The statues were very life like and I suspect they were actual elves turned to stone.

During the night, a female goblin came to put flowers at the feet of the status and when [Zov](/cfjMmRWhRx2a5saKtmMwaQ) confronted her, she told us that they worship the statues.
We let her get on with what ever she was doing and went back to sleep.

## The Arcane University
At the gate we met a man named Uwix, who told us that mage [Magus Aldavan](/CMiFrbNvQ42r8qkKYXwnpg), the headmaster of the university was at his private keep, located in the mountains North of the university.
Uwix did not want to teleport us up there, so we continued on horseback.

## Towards Magus Aldavan
We headed North into the mountains and the weather deteriorated significantly until finally we were in a blizzard.
When we decided to look for a place to make camp, we found some trees to seek shelter under, but as we rode under the trees, suddenly all the snow was gone and the weather was nice.
