# Northern Baronies
The commonly used term for the lands north of [Imyr](/LfoRx_GvTSeEkH4qYqM_Vw).
The land is technically under the rule of [Skard](/Sxeq-oyQTae2pI2mJfuRjw), but due to the remote location, there is very little presence of official Skard authority.
In practice, the Barons of the region control the lands and have been known to use force to get their will.
