## Current status
[The previous session](/R4UaD-D4TQywJ9UkmTcZ2Q) ended with us stuck in [Imyr City](/LfoRx_GvTSeEkH4qYqM_Vw), as it is currently under siege.
A few other travellers came over on the boat with us. They are in the same building as us, but on the upper floors.
[Aelen](/8uCZ8WhjQeyghi-_mxgOFg) received a message during the night, saying that he better get the chest back and delivered to it's rightful owner (some magic user in Imyr).
## At the captain of the guards
In the morning, we went to the captain of the guard. His name is [Andrevel](/RAW9i2xIQAuk_02ysO674g#Captain-Andrevel-Captain-of-the-Guard) (Human)
We were introduced to the guard who saw the saboteur. The guard's name is [Michael](/RAW9i2xIQAuk_02ysO674g#Michael-Guard) (Human)
Description of the granary saboteur:
One person wearing a black (or very dark) cloak.
He was just setting fire under one of the granaries, when he was detected and ran off over the wall to the west.
Michael went to put out the fire instead of chasing him.
## At the granary
Lamp oil and tinder was lit under one of the granaries.
Extra guards have been posted around the food supplies and water cistern.
The guards at the granary had been informed that someone was investigating, and they were quite relaxed.
Aelen found some torn up paper with a flowery odour on the ground.

None of us could identify it. Zov chewed on it and it made her vision go blurry for a while.
I continued investigating the garden with the help of Zov.

Didn't find anything.
Stan found a coin with the text "Keep your temper" on one side and "100" on the other.
I took a look at it, to see if it was a historical artifact, but I didn't recognise it.

Investigated the walls, with Zov.

We found nothing.
The guard told us that this is a gambling coin worth 100 silver.
I investigated the unlit fire and found shards of glass.

There was a picture of a mortar and pestle on the glass, which appeared to be from the bottom of a bottle, which made us decide to go to the apothecary.
## At the apothecary garden
While Zov kept the apothecary busy in the shop, I jumped over the wall to the garden behind the building.

In the garden I found a lot of potted plants and a raised bed with herbs and plants.
I took samples of all of the plants.

My fingers are kinda dark and tingly after touching the plants.
In the back of the Apothecary building, there are stairs to a door on the second floor.
I walked up there to see if I could peek through the window, but I only saw the corner of the room inside, so I left again and jumped over the wall to the back streets.

As I came over the wall, there were two ladies that saw me. We were going in the same direction, so it felt a bit awkward walking behind them and I'm quite certain they sped up to avoid me.
## In the apothecary shop
I had the apothecary look at my hand and he cleaned it with alcohol. My fingers cleaned up nicely, but they still felt tingly for a while.
## Outside the apothecary shop
We found an ally and I unloaded the herbs. One by one we tried smelling them and eventually identified the one plant that we smelled on the paper at the crime scene.
## Back inside the apothecary shop
Stan managed to get kicked out of the shop for using magic, so Zov went back in with the plant and the apothecary informed her that the plant was a Belladonna; a particularly poisonous plant.
Neither the apothecary or his employee had sold Belladonna to anyone recently.
## Returned to the captain of the guards
We returned to the captain of the guard to inform him of the possible poisoning of the food supply.
This news concerned him greatly and he will pass the information along to the higher-ups, who might be able to detect poison.
The news of the poison, made him suspect a diplomat from the Northern Realms named [Baron Vilder](/UvPXvufNRAmwjWQ7DQYqnw). The people of the city know him as a merchant.
At his place are 2 guards, a buttler, embassador and his wife
I asked how he felt about us investigating at night.
If we get caught there, it will probably be the military that will respond, not the city guards.
The captain informed me that the roof is slippery and it's probably dangerous to walk on.
## At the gambling house
Our one remaining piece of evidence took us to the gambling house, where Stan and Zov immediately tried to bully the manager. This was rather unsuccesful and as soon as they identified themselves as working with the guards, he refused to talk to them.
I went to play cards instead and pretended I didn't know them.
None of the talk around the table was about anything relevant to our investigation.
Lost a bit, won a bit. Ended up -3 silver overall.
I left shortly thereafter and joined up with the gang in the streets.
## On the battlements
On the way to the embassador's house, I saw an armory and I managed to sell my greatsword for 30 GP.
When I arrived at the house, Zov and Stan had already spoken to the guard and he wouldn't let us see enter the building.
We decided to camp out on the battlement behind the building and wait until dark, to see if we can catch someone matching the description of the saboteur.
Stan, standing on the shoulders of Zov, manages to look through the window and saw an older couple eating. A 30-ish year old butler served them wine.
