## Problem
Continuation of this [task](https://hackmd.io/G5Ii5EgMQkCh1U4mwLAMhQ). The decision was made to continue supporting single stencils and start support fused stencils with the Liskov code generation. However, the fused stencil feature is still under development.

- Prioritize fusing stencils which are executed on the inner domain, as opposed to the lateral boundary or halo region, because stencils on the inner domain contribute the most to the runtime, optimizing them is the most important.
