### Intro Email
Greetings from Grey Software,
My name is Arsala and I am delighted to welcome you to our first Open Source Apprenticeship Program in Pakistan.
Throughout the next 15 weeks, our team will create a learning environment for you from which you can emerge as an software developer capable of meaningfully contributing to open source projects.
Here's a rough breakdown of our program:
1 weeks orientation and onboarding
3 week agile open source practice with assigned project
2 weeks open source practice with external projects
8 weeks final project with midway 4 week checkin
1 week project wrap-up and offboarding
We want to create the best education experience for you, which will involve creating accounts, seeing up development environments, and creating an effective learning path for the technologies we use. This onboarding process will likely extend to next week.
For now, however, we'll start with three quick action items and make our way from there in future communications.
- Please head over and sign up for the GitHub student developer pack with your assigned UET Mardan emails. This will grant you access to over $10,000 in free software resources that will help you throughout the program.
- Add +1 6478948834 on WhatsApp. Some of you may already have me in your contact list. WhatsApp is a good backup for email communication in Pakistan.
- Polish up your resume and LinkedIn with your latest projects and aspirations. This will allow us to get a better understanding of you.
I look forward to seeing how your class progresses in open source software development and I'm excited to see what we could create.
Sincerely,
Arsala Bangash
