# Focused Browsing Post 0.9.2 release brainstorming ###### tags: `Focused Browsing` `Brainstorming` ## Overview With the 0.9.2 release, we made great leaps forward compared to 0.9.1 The extension now looks better and performs better, to the point where I can use it comfortably on Brave Browser, where I now use Twitter and LinkedIn. Given that the app is usable, functional, and beautiful, I think the next milestone is where we should offer valuable premium features to Github sponsors. ## Gitlab Issue Board I revised the issues we had set up for 0.9.3, and [here is our current board](https://gitlab.com/grey-software/focused-browsing/-/boards/2931576?milestone_title=Focused%20Browsing%20v0.9.3) ## General thoughts - The main objective of this release is to create a valuable offering for people to consider subscribing for. - Our current hypothesis is that offering people the ability to selectively block feeds is valuable enough for them to consider sponsoring us for as little as five dollars a month. - Luckily, with our team bolstered by Vasilis who wants to help with the user experience research, we can validate this by asking our current users. - I think it is also imperative that our extension starts functioning on Firefox sooner than later - In order to offer our sponsors premium functionality, we will have to implement a small wrapper library that can help us with Github authentication and sponsorship verification - I'm starting to see that the problem of delaying code and stability improvements in favor of features is slowly starting to creep in, as I scoped some refactoring and testing tasks out of 0.9.3 - Given that we have Avi as our only full time FB engineer while the list of requirements and potential optimizations grows, it's time to get a bit smarter about how we can leverage The open source community of software developers to help - The ideal scenario in my opinion is if we can get Jordan West to help out, but I feel like I have been delaying this and I'm not sure I completely understand why. Maybe I'm looking for greater legitimacy in our product, and may be the right time to reach out would be after 0.9.3, but these are just my thoughts at the moment. - We can also get smarter about putting tasks up for willing volunteers to take on. Granted, these would not be time sensitive tasks But with the help of a volunteer, we can get a Headstart on re-factoring, testing, and documentation tasks
