# [Informal Poll] Discontinuation of Snippets

## G&R Call Snippets

Many of you know that the Governance and Risk Call is hosted every Thursday. However, we understand that it is not always possible to attend them, which is why @gov-comms-core-unit focuses on providing everybody information presented and discussed during the call. We provide this information through both [snippets](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/governance-and-risk-176-thursday-january-27-17-00-utc/12853/2) and [semi-transcription summaries.](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/governance-and-risk-175-thursday-january-20-17-00-utc/12747/3)

## Snippet's Value Under Question?

The G&R Call has undergone multiple improvements towards its agenda. Today, the call consists of a [comprehensive slide deck](https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1L9CGA5wt9Ip5eZArOdlzYdIGtpWRvYoDYZxSKvcLkqQ/edit) which is publically accessible through the [G&R Call posts on forums.](https://forum.makerdao.com/c/governance/gnr/8) This slide deck can be viewed along with its footnotes and comments. The current agenda for a G&R Call goes as follows:

- **Votes and Polls Overview**
- **Weekly MIPs Overview**
- **Weekly forums Overview**
- **Core Unit and Team Initiatives**
- Unique Team-Led Discussion
- Open Discussion (if time permits)

Topics in bold will almost always have prepared slides that help cover relevant information. Discussions do not usually contain slides because they are open and invite anybody to jump into the conversation. However, discussions are difficult to summarize in a snippet; personally, it feels fragmented and misses the main values of the entire discussion(s).

## Discontinuing the Snippet

I want to ask the community how many of you utilize the snippet posted right after the G&R Call is finished? I am thinking to discontinue *only* the snippets for the following reasons:

- All of the semi-transcription summary information repeat the Snippets.
- Most of the Snippet information such as the slide deck, MIPs update, and Forum update can be found on the forums beforehand.
- Snippets clutter the G&R Call threads and essentially take up significant space making the semi-transcription more difficult to locate.
- Snippets are live notes that take up my valuable time, which instead can be used to improve the slide deck, be more active during the call, and be more helpful to the call host.
- (Personal) Snippets are prepared and completed right after the Forum at a Glance and right before (and throughout) the G&R call - I do not really get much of a breather for about 4-5 hours.
