# [Informal Poll] Transcriptions and Editorials for Publicly Recorded Calls

## Summary

We provide [written summaries](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fALfvfQDnuAeJ7LR_4Ozv1ls-xiAKbrXxC_I-M0voWo/edit?usp=sharing) of publicly recorded calls in the form of [transcriptions](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/governance-and-risk-196-thursday-june-23-at-17-00-utc/15998/3) and [editorials](https://forum.makerdao.com/t/know-your-mip-kym-12-core-unit-offboarding-process-amendments/15700/5) to improve information accessibility. These allow reading as an option for anybody who isn't able to listen in on a given call.

In an effort to measure the value of this work, we are gauging community sentiment regarding whether we should continue running this program.

### Cost

Monthly Cost: ~$2500 - $3500 (varies)

Estimated average cost per semi-transcribed summary: ~$300 Dai
Estimated average cost per editorial summary: ~$150 Dai

### Value

We don't have a good means by which to measure call summary utilization due to the limitations of the Maker Forum. The value provided can be theoretically measured in terms of "time saved" for stakeholders. Additionally, the summaries provide a type of historic archive of activity at the DAO.
