# Notes from call with Anna, Chris and Yijin from the EF / ESP
- They are open to considering doing some kind of funding round through the Drips platform once V2 is live. They've done that in the past with several orgs, including Gitcoin, Clear Fund and perhaps others. Although he expressed concern about wanting to make sure that the funds were allocated in a high-quality way and mentioned some concerns with Gitcoin in that regard.
- If they did give funds though, they would not want to do the allocations at a low-level themselves. They would want that to be done somehow mechanistically, or by someone else, so that is something to consider
- A few times he mentioned something called "DAO Drips". I can't find anything about this by Googling, so I'm not sure what is going on there
- Chris believes that we should consider not having Drips be totally free, or at least have a plan for the sustainability of the platform. He thinks Gitcoin waited too long to do this and that these kinds of platforms should not necessarily be free -- it's more important that they be sustainable (as long as fees aren't exploitative).
- They are happy to do another follow-up call where we ask specific questions about their past experiences as funders. I think I was able to impress Chris somewhat with some of our insights and he expressed interest in having us share some of our insights from our other user interviews with them as well. So this may be something we can increasingly offer to funders as an incentive as our user interviews continue.
