It grants mobility through the stations power network, various methods of disabling and corrupting machines, and explosive ambush abilities. Your ability to stay quiet is limiting, instead requiring mobility and a constant supply of power sources. Ascending gives you the power to become a ball of unstoppable tesla energy. ## The Heretic Ability Tree ### Life's Voltaic Follow the galvanic path. Transmute a knife under an APC, turning it into a conductive blade ##### Grasp of Sparks Your mansus grasp now animates inorganic objects. They are hostile to other creatures, have 50 HP, and you can have up to five active at any one time. Requires a local source of power. ### Conductive Relay A jaunt spell that can only be used along powered wires. Consumes huge amounts of energy from the area and makes lights flicker. If you attempt to jaunt through an unpowered area you will leave Conductive Relay, take 25 brute damage and be stunned for 4 seconds. ### Mark of Sparks Your grasp applies galvanic mark on hit. Attack a marked person with your blade to zap them with electricity. Electricity jumps between each person you have marked between range, damaging those inbetween other than yourself. Requires a local source of power. ### Ritual of Knowledge (Galvanics) You learn a special, one-time-only ritual that requires 4 different items, from various organs to candles to stun batons, in various quantities. Performing this ritual instantly grants you 4 knowledge points. ### Photonic Pulse Using a large amount of power, you emit an EMP that also flashes, blinding creatures in range for five seconds. ### Galvanic Blade You can now charge your blade by draining any power source, using it to power your other abilities. In addition, your blade can now hack open airlocks (Basically the blade becomes space ninja gloves). If your blade becomes overcharged, bolts of lightning will leap out to hit nearby objects and creatures, discharging the additional power. ### Magnetic Discharge A spell that repels objects and creatures around you, knocking them back and briefly stunning them. If used while in Conductive Relay, also forces you to emerge with a light explosion, flashing and causing eye damage to those around you. ### Energetic Annihilation Transmute 3 corpses in the supermatter engine room to Ascend. Conductive Relay now uses double the power and turns you into a visible, permanently-mobile (you cannot stop, only change direction) tesla ball, emitting mini-balls periodically. Hitting a creature with the tesla ball will cause an explosion, removing you from Conductive Relay. ## Path of Rust Combos ### Priest's Ritual Electrical frankenstein healing juice, makes sense ### Curse of Corrosion (Existing) Electrolysis rusts shit so this makes sense ### Cleave attacking multiple people next to each other? thematically appropriate cos conductive electricity fuck you ## Path of Ash Combos ### Neuronal Link Transmute any circuit board, a loop of wire and a brain organ to produce a Neuronal Link. While in-hand, can be used to trigger a random machine malfunction from a distance. Can result in emagging, explosion, emp or animation. Has two charges on a 45 second cooldown. ### Electromagnetic Shield Use a large amount of power to project a shield around yourself that absorbs two hits and reflects energy weapons. If directly hit by an EMP weapon, causes an explosion that doesn't harm you but immediately disables the shield. ### Psychic Siphon Transmute any power cell, a stomach organ and a machine frame to create a power sink (its like a power sink but made of flesh and pulsing super gross). Any power drained by the Psychic Siphon will charge your Galvanic Blade.
