# GaiaFest Notes
GaiaFest is a multidimensional meta-narrative for Gaia. Each year she contains several narrative elements that converge on a single date each year in a networked art festival - gaifest.org
### Post-pandemic structure
Post-pandemic people will want to meet in person. large gatherings will remain intimidating for a while, and the world has been educated on Zoom. An archetecture where you meet in small groups locally yet connect in wasy that we have become accustomed to in Zoom or ClubHouse appeal not only to the environmentally concious (less flying) - but to the way we feel like interacting socially at this time.
### Global sound-art event
Sound is the spine of the event. All spaces can be connected to a global sound track. There is a multidimensional sound space which any gathering can navigate - arranging peer-to-peer sound connections between spaces, or subsets of spaces, or tunining into the canonical festival sound track. Those with a smart phone are able to navigate the soundcape spatially.
## The Book of Gaia
The Book of Gaia is clearly not a book, rather she is a future commons, in todays language a data commons.
## GaiaFest Methodololgy
GaiaFest is a decentralised climate action festival (deCAF). In simple terms a deCAF festival is a coordinated set of gatherings, artworks and activities in which all participants share some common infrastructure that facilitates and encourages people to take action rather than remain passive observers. This may be to dance, scream, join or support imaginative projects that take climate action. A deCaf festival will often but not always have a narrative focus, and a central geographic focus.
