Funding includes *3 ETH* for six months sponsorship and *1 ETH* to fund an infinite Prop House round *(5 x 0.2 ETH prizes)* for community designed skate deck graphics. Tom will also release his new video part with Gnars branding and as a collaborative NFT droposal.

An additional *0.2069 ETH* will cover manufacture and shipping of 5 boards so Tom has one of each of the first 5 winning designs to feature in his videos.

Tom Rohrer is a professional skateboarder from San Diego, California. We were very fortunate to be introduced to Tom by the legend Dave Bachinsky.

Since our initial 3 ETH sponsorship, Tom has been giving back to the skateboarding community through his tutorial videos. And as far as I'm concerned, resources such as these are *public goods!*

So to welcome Tom back to Gnars with a bang, I'm proposing we provide him with another 3 ETH sponsorship and 0.2069 ETH to purchase custom decks. As well as 2 pairs of Nouns Vision and 2 Gnars NFTs, to split between himself and his amazing wife who films all his tutorials!

## 🏠 Prop House Round

The infinite Prop House round is designed to award 5 winning artists with 0.2 ETH each for CC0 custom pro model board designs. Tom will ride them in upcoming tutorial videos and showcase our community artists to his huge (and growing) audience.


Best of all, artists won't have to take the upfront risk normally associated with funding rounds of this kind. Instead they'll submit concept sketches for what they plan to create, along with their portfolio of existing work, and a general idea of the planned colour palette to use.


Prop House allows us to run infinite rounds that are not bound specifically by time, instead allowing for a quorum to be set so that once a voting threshold is reached, the proposing artist gets funded. Eventually, provided we top up the funds, I can see this working as part of an ongoing "Blank Deck project" of which I touch on in the next section.

## 🔥 Blank Deck Project

[Blank CD](https://zora.co/collect/eth:0x5d5b75dde691983e458eb0fb53146b46506a987d/1) is a new conceptual art project I've been working on in collaboration with artist friends, first of whom are musicians. Similar to the "Blank Canvas" concept that birthed [Art Haus DAO](https://art.haus), and the Opepen format by Jack Butcher and co, Blank Deck draws inspiration from far and wide.


Blank Deck is essentially the provision of an open edition, forever, that can be burned to redeem an ongoing series of artist collabs limited by either time, supply, or both. The concept is in its early stages, but I am experimenting with Blank CD as we use the "CD Burner" to collect artist collabs, which we can later personalise with custom cover art inserts and more.

## 🎥 Video Part Release

Finally, to round out a warm Gnars welcome to our good friend Tom Rohrer, we will prepare his new video part for release, via an NFT droposal. Below is an example of a previous video part he did with The Berrics (click to watch).

The release is still being discussed, but as with any NFT droposal, mint proceeds will be split between the artist (Tom) and the Gnars DAO treasury. Super excited about the potential for skate media coverage of Tom's new part!
