# Let's Get This Party Started
Let's deploy some parties so our pods can go fast and have fun. BRAAHP!!
📝 *NOTE: This proposal was originally written to include deployment of 3 parties for the tech, media and community pods. During transaction simulation I kept running into an error when more than one party deployment transaction was attached. So this proposal instead deploys a single admin party than can be used to deploy others rapidly while maintaining the onchain provenance.*
## What is a Party?
[Party](https://party.app) is the best way to create a group on Ethereum. Gather members, vote on decisions, and experience Ethereum in multiplayer. In the context of a DAO, a Party is "like a [fighter jet](https://twitter.com/john_c_palmer/status/1724239453097472152) taking off from your aircraft carrier."
[HYPΣR](https://www.party.app/party/0x4d9Fec954076C3BF2A3a886F2d8E23C91D2990Fd) have been working closely with [John Palmer](https://twitter.com/john_c_palmer) and the Party team, who've been so kind to roll out new features at our request. They will soon be adding [Zora Network](https://zora.energy/) support, so as we prepare for [Gnars L2 migration](https://nouns.wtf/vote/382), all the pieces are falling into place.
## Who's at the Party?
This proposal will deploy an admin party with initial settings as shown below. While we are still on mainnet, this party can be used to rapidly deploy others, like the first 3 planned below, and adequately maintain onchain provenance. Once we have migrated to Zora Network where gas is negligible, we can deploy as many as we like from onchain proposals.
### Admin Pod (deployed by this proposal)
Gnars Admin Party comprises members who are already familiar with Party, will be assigned `admin.gnars.eth` and trusted with deploying other parties.
Hosts will be able to invite other members, and through voting, these groups will be able to vote on new members as required. Various members have been left off each intentionally, so we can use their additions as Party practice.
### Tech Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Tech Party is a curated group of technical contributors, whose Party will be assigned `tech.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, drop commemorative mints for software releases, and perhaps even deploy smart contracts as a group.
### Media Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Media Party is a select group of media curators, whose Party will be assigned `media.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, mint editions to Gnars Media House, and perhaps even deploy entirely new collections.
### Community Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)
Gnars Social Party is a select group of community leaders, whose Party will be assigned `social.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, host community calls, manage socials, and even publish onchain media like newsletters and podcasts.
All parties are intended to receive funding mentioned in later proposals and can do just about everything that can be done with a regular wallet. Except as a group, fully onchain, and in a much nicer experience than a multisig. Like mentioned earlier; they're gnarly fighter jets.
## Why do we Party?
Our onchain story is everything, an immutable trail of provenance that lives on forever, that we can draw on to create any number of experiences. Party allows us to operate in trusted pods without all the frictions of full fledged DAO governance, for more agile and less cumbersome operations.
Unlike multisigs, all actions in a Party are onchain, so there's additional gas costs in comparison. But I think it makes sense to subsidise those expenses in funding allocated to each Party's members. But this will only be required for a short time until we've migrated Gnars to Zora Network, and since Party will be there too, our experiments will continue freely (they already support Base too).
## Party Time!
Let's get this party started by mobilising our tech pod to assist with migrations, empowering our media pod to mint all our productions, galvanising our community pod to bring us closer together, and start making history!
Once we're on Zora Network, our operating costs will drop 95%, we'll be tightly integrated with [Builder](https://nouns.build/) protocol, taking a more positive-sum approach, and we'll bring a million shredders onchain in no time!
*NOTE: This proposal deploys 1 party. The intended deployment of 3 parties from 1 proposal was replaced with the deployment of an admin party. This is due to an error encountered when trying to attach more than 1 party deployment transaction from a single proposal. Admin party will deploy other parties as required to maintain onchain provenance.*

While we are still on mainnet, this party can be used to rapidly deploy others, like the first 3 planned below, and adequately maintain onchain provenance. Once we have migrated to Zora Network where gas is negligible, we can deploy as many as we like from onchain proposals.\n\n### Admin Pod (deployed by this proposal)\n\nGnars Admin Party comprises members who are already familiar with Party, will be assigned `admin.gnars.eth` and trusted with deploying other parties. \n\n\n\nHosts will be able to invite other members, and through voting, these groups will be able to vote on new members as required. Various members have been left off each intentionally, so we can use their additions as Party practice.\n\n### Tech Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)\n\nGnars Tech Party is a curated group of technical contributors, whose Party will be assigned `tech.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, drop commemorative mints for software releases, and perhaps even deploy smart contracts as a group.\n\n\n\n### Media Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)\n\nGnars Media Party is a select group of media curators, whose Party will be assigned `media.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, mint editions to Gnars Media House, and perhaps even deploy entirely new collections.\n\n\n\n### Community Pod (to be deployed by admin pod)\n\nGnars Social Party is a select group of community leaders, whose Party will be assigned `social.gnars.eth` and trusted with a suitable operating budget. As a group they will disburse funding as required, host community calls, manage socials, and even publish onchain media like newsletters and podcasts.\n\n\n\nAll parties are intended to receive funding mentioned in later proposals and can do just about everything that can be done with a regular wallet. Except as a group, fully onchain, and in a much nicer experience than a multisig. Like mentioned earlier; they're gnarly fighter jets. \n\n\n## Why do we Party?\n\nOur onchain story is everything, an immutable trail of provenance that lives on forever, that we can draw on to create any number of experiences. Party allows us to operate in trusted pods without all the frictions of full fledged DAO governance, for more agile and less cumbersome operations.\n\n\n\nUnlike multisigs, all actions in a Party are onchain, so there's additional gas costs in comparison. But I think it makes sense to subsidise those expenses in funding allocated to each Party's members.
