EPF Update 5 Week 4
Introduction
In this week's update, I will be discussing the recent developments in the project focus, building upon the topic I addressed in my previous update.
Project Focus Shift
As mentioned earlier, there has been a shift in the project focus, and I'm excited to share that this shift is already in progress. This update will provide insights into the direction the project is taking.
Collaboration with Nimbus Team
I've made significant strides in moving forward with the change in project focus. Specifically, I have engaged in productive discussions with Zahary from the Nimbus team. Our collaboration aims to kick-start efforts in extending Nimbus_eth2, the Ethereum 2 Beacon Chain written in the Nim programming language.
Nim Proficiency
Following my commitment to adapting to this new direction, I dedicated time to learning Nim, as highlighted in the previous update. This learning endeavor has equipped me with the necessary skills to contribute effectively to the Nimbus project.

Contributions to Nimbus
My primary goal is to make substantial contributions to the Nimbus project. While I have ambitious plans for the features I intend to work on, I will commence by focusing on a significant initiative.
Implementing a Novel Append-Only Database
To kickstart my involvement in the Nimbus beacon node development, I will begin by creating a novel append-only database. This initiative aligns with my intention to undertake impactful tasks while adapting to the new project direction.
