Terminology

Bank Rate [4%] Repo Rate [5.15%] The rate at which banks borrow from RBI for short period (upto 7 or 14 days) but predominantly overnight. Reverse Repo Rate [4.9%] The rate at which RBI borrows funds from the commercial banks. CRR [4%] Cash Reserve Ratio. A certain percentage of NTDL has to be kept with RBI; banks to don't have access to that much amount for any economic or commercial activity.
