### Spouses & Kids
You're 98% in for PSER but if you have a spouse that isn't on board or kids who are impossible to satisfy, it can feel impossible to be 100% in.
So how to make your nutritional health a priority when being pulled and tempted to do otherwise.
1. Talk to your family. Sit down before you get started and explain the what and why you want to do this. No one should argue with you wanting to build a healthier relationship with food. Let them know you're doing this for you and not forcing your goals onto them. HOWEVER, if they would participate it would be great for accountability and a fun family program.
2. If your family refuses to eat the same foods, it's easy to tweak meals to satisfy everyone. In fact, Dan and I don't eat the same meals often. I cook for both of us but don't spend any additional time cooking. HERE'S HOW.
3. Put their snacks in an different location that you don't see everytime you open the pantry. Make a cabinet specifically for the kids or significant other. That way every time you open the pantry you're not staring at their box of Oreos.
4. Don't avoid their foods, but watch portions or make your own. If you're drooling watching your husband eat ice cream, make yourself a little bowl. But focus on proper portions. Even better, use PSER to create your own healthy dessert alternatives.
5. Set an example and don't force your changes. 90% of the time, kids and spouses cave. They'll smell your meals, see the recipes and end up asking for a plate too. But don't force it. You can't make anyone change if they don't want to. But trust me... they'll want to.
