### Tips On Eating Out
Eating out is a special event, not something that is a regular part of your life.
Treat it as so.
You don't have to order the salad but you also don't want to walk out feeling stuffed and miserable.
Here are a few tips:
1. Aim to eat out no more than 2x/week.
2. Forgo the bread/chips.
3. Choose appetizer OR dessert. Not both.
4. Don't be afraid to tailor your order. Ask for different sides, a different cooking method, or sauces. The worst that can happen is they chef will say no, but 99.9% of the time, you're paying and they'll be happy to make their meals fit your needs.
5. Watch the alcohol. Follow the water - drink - water - drink approach.
6. Don't feel you HAVE to finish your meal. Leftovers are great. Aim for 80% full so you walk away feeling happy and not needing to sleep the food away.
