###### tags: `fww-blog` `exercise-database` # Plank ## Video Video goes here ## Exercise Highlights * Start by placing elbows on the ground, evenly distribute your weight over the forearms. * Legs are straight and along with your butt, squeezed tight. * Push forward through your feet so that you're on your tip toes which allows your shoulders to be directly over your elbows or more forward. * Keep the neck in a neutral position by keeping your eyes on the ground in front of your hands. * Tighten your abs to brance and fully engage your core. ## Common Mistakes * Avoid letting your heels push back which brings your butt to the sky and shoulders back behind your elbows. * Letting your chin drop and looking down your body to your feet. This is bad for your neck but also causes your butt/hips to rise and disengages the core. * Keeping knees unlocked which causes the butt to be loose, which causes the core to not be engaged as much as it can. ## Call To Action
