# Beefmen
## Lore
Beefmen are the creation of a miracle gibber that, when gibbing bodies that sill have a soul inside of it, had their skin peeled, and the resulting Beefman creation was given to the Space Russian Government, and after the Russian Sleep Experiment, has deformed and twisted their mutilated bodies, stripping them of basic abilities like being able to sleep.
## Mechanics
### Limbs
Beefmen can tear their limbs off at will by right clicking themselves on combat mode. Tearing limbs off (or having limbs blown off) turns them into slabs of meat.
Re-attaching is just as easy, slapping your missing limb with a slab of meat will replace it. Damage carries over from meat -> limb and vice versa, by making the slab of meat eaten more depending on damage.
### Temperature/Blood
Beefmen, at high temperatures, bleed out quickly and die. Colder temperatures however, causes them to regenerate blood faster. Burn damage will 'cauterize' the Beefman, letting them survive in warm temperatures without bleeding, at the cost of burn damage.
Hugging people also causes them to bleed over them, since they are a giant stack of living meat.
### Body
Beefmen have an oddly-shaped body. They are taller and thinner than most species offset_features is used to ensure clothes fit properly on them.
## Traits
Beefmen are immune to falling asleep in most traditional forms, and lack a genetic sequence, meaning they can't get temperature adaptation to bypass their Temperature problems.
They are also Agender, much like Ethereals.
They like meat, and are either toxic towards or dislike most dairy/fruit.
They are also 20% faster than the default species, but takes 20% more damage, and their punches deal less damage.
As they are Russian experiments, they know Space Russian as their language.
### Chemicals
Salt causes Beefmen to burn, while food helps regenerate blood fast, as a last-ditch effort to get blood quickly when needed (though this is just a balance thing, not for any lore reason).
### Sounds
Beefmen sounds are all meaty, cause it's a lil' silly.
## Unique Features
### Trauma
Traumas are a big part of Beefmen. By default, you have a phobetor trauma, a subtype of bluespace tears, but can't be used if the start and ending locations are seen by a player (tracking implants are also taken into account).
Beefmen also are forced between a choice for a secondary trauma. The primary ones they have to choose between is Hallucinations, and phobia of the Unknown. Others could be possible for variety, but those two are the important ones.
### Sashes
Beefmen wear unique sashes that only covers their chest, lore-wise because it allows them to have the air around them blow easily so they do not bleed out. These sashes are very small and barely cover the user's sprite in any way, letting others see the Beefman for all their beefy looks
## Goals
1. Give a new unique Species that hasn't been seen before.
2. Add a new layer of potential RP with a species generally considered 'creepy'.
3. ~~Be better than Felinids~~
## Non goals
1. Have too many buffs that this becomes a powergaming species
2. Give too much freedom for greytiders to do things they otherwise wouldnt be able to.
