Co-Curation and cross contamination project Eu/Italy and Taiwan

Need: Collaboration between the two artistic researches have started in the fall of 2018, only delayed by the global pandemic. While trasformatorio has devised a methodology for social and technological innovation around site specific performative and digital arts interventions, in Taiwan the xxx artist cooperative has developed a critical approach to the local art production on-site, that developed since 2009 in various ways and has hit the hard line of rural and urban gentrification. The juxtapositon of methodologies and approaches have cemented a drive into the respective realities in conducting joint operations. The occasion to embed a group of artists-researchers into remote communities is followed both curatorially and technically by the chance to develop digital/technical arts in conjunction with traditional fabrication techniques.
The outcome of the research will constitute the core of a documentation show featuring interventions and discussions of experts on both the extreme sides of the silk road.

What
- Trasformatorio and xxx have defined a program of technical and teoretical exploration to select and engage 6 artists from Europe and 6 from Taiwan.
- The artists will be exposed to a full trasformatorio laboratory specific to the taiwanese and to the italian reality with exchange of techniques and ideas from both places.

## The Exchange program
- Context

Albisola is a small village oon the italian riviera, in Liguria, the closest sea location from Milan and Turin. In 1954 Asgard Jorn moves in the little village in search of good air for his lounghs. His house will become the center of a intense and relevant research activity with long reaching consequences in history of art.
Jorn was part of CoBrA during his time in Paris after the war. He is a networker that believes in the power of the artistic collective.
