**Background.**
BC Ferries. Chawoo. Data from +6 months. Thurst, torque , etc.
They are investigating the hull coating, reasoning behind the data gathering. We are open to explore the data, and they have a lot of questions. *Will have meeting with BC on Monday 1 PM.*
Tasks.
- Explore the data. Create explanatory statistics.
- Cluster the data. Especially in regions of interest, that is the manoeuvring.
What I require from you. A report, in an IMRaD format.
- Background on the problem stated by BC.
- We have to define a research question.
- Amount of fuel consumed.
- Route.
- Machinery onboard.
- Emissions ...
- BC Ferries outlook.
- Method - clearly defined. Important that i can be replicated. Open source software, Python.
- Results. Aim for showing the results of the clustering and eventually efficiency indicators.
- Discussion.
- Could it be best practises derived from the data.
A clear and concise method, explaining all the tools used. The code should be attached in a neat format (well commented), can be in a Jupyter notebook format.
