# ⚔ CODUEL 2022 [EN] ⚒ ## Kokocoder Lockout Duel 2022 Championship ### A new way to Competitive Programming Match! [ENG] 🇬🇧 ---------- #### General Rules 1. Only kokocoder troops who never won KSN Medal are eligible to participate 2. **FREE** Registration Fee 3. Quota is limited to **MAX 16 or 32 number of participants** (depends on the excitement) 4. Priority is given based on the ELITE level (the higher the ELITE level, the more prioritised they are) 5. WIN a total Prize of **Rp. 5.000.000** 6. The round is aired within the kokocoder troops. Means anyone from our troops can watch the duel for fun 🍿 ---------- #### Duel Rules : 1. **Terms** : *Player* : a participants that will be dueling against one another *Problems* : the problem that player has to solve with code. Due to the feature limitation, only Codeforces Problem is available *Referee* : a third-party that is responsible that a duel runs in fair manner (e.g. player does not allowed to open editorials, cheat, attempt to communicate with other parties, copy-pasting external code etc.) 2. A single duel consists of **2 players and 5 problems and at least 1 referee**. Each problem has a point distributed from **100-200-300-400-500** You may expect that the higher the point, the harder the problem is 3. A player who solves ANY problem first will obtain **FULL POINT** of THAT problem. If their opponent solves the problem afterwards, their opponent will get **ZERO POINT** (in other words, if a problem solved by your opponent, solving that problem won't be beneficial for you in the duel since it will give you 0 pts) 4. A duel will runs in at most **2 hours** 5. The result of the duel will be determined with one of these scenarios : - A player gets more than 750 points. In this case, the duel will be stopped immediately and that player will win the duel - Time is up. In this case the player who gets the higher point wins the duel. In case there's a tie, duel will be results in draw 6. The duel will be hosted by using these following applications : - Discord (using Lockout Bot / TLE Bot) - Gather Town with Screen Sharing (opponent CANNOT see your screenshare, but public could) 7. **We are very strongly warn you to work honestly and maintain sportsmanship by NOT looking at editorials, other people's solution, or attempt to communicate with other third party during the duel. Violation of this rule will end up in your disqualification** --------- #### Championship Rules : 1. The Championship will consists of 2 rounds : - Group Round - Elimination Round 2. **Group Round** : a. Participants will be separated into groups. Each group will have 4 contestants (in case there's a remainder, the remainder will be distributed accordingly) b. A player will be dueling against each other player in the same group exactly once. The winner of the duel will be awarded with group points (gp) : +3 gp for winner +1 gp for draw (both parties get 1 gp) +0 gp for loser c. Top 2 player with the highest gp from the same group will be qualified for the elimination round. In case there's a tie, the player who gets qualified is the one who gets the cumulative score higher from the duel. If there's still a tie, the tie break will be on cumulative time spent on the duel d. The referee(s) of the duel will be : - the other player(s) from the same group who does not join the duel - kokocoder coaches (optional) 3. **Elimination Round** : a. From the winners of each group in this round onwards, the duel will be held using the knockout system until there's only one absolute winner b. The third place winner is determined by having the losers in semi final round dueling each other 4. **Prizes and Rewards** : Rewards of this championship are listed as follows : • Group Round : IDR 30 x cumulative points from duels you get • Elimination Round : IDR 100 x cumulative points from duels you get Example : If you score a total of 2500 points in all duels you participate in group round and total of 3000 points in all duels you participate in elimination round, you will be awarded with IDR 2500x30 + IDR 3000x100 = IDR 75.000 + IDR 300.000 = IDR 375.000 • Championship Winner There will be extra reward for top-3 winners : 1st Place : Voucher Kokocoder for IDR 1.000.000 2nd Place : Voucher Kokocoder for IDR 500.000 3rd Place : Voucher Kokocoder for IDR 200.000 ------------------------------
