# ADO A11Y Bug Triage

## Requirements
- 0 old high-impact bugs (old stands for >60 days)
- <= 5 old MAS bugs

## Triage goals
1. All bugs are [correctly labelled](https://dev.azure.com/microsoftdesign/fluent-ui/_queries/query/72920ce5-459e-41af-b901-efa238c3fc81) with issueType* tag and impact tag.
2. Triage [scorecard impacting bugs](https://dev.azure.com/microsoftdesign/fluent-ui/_queries/query/fef39447-5962-4250-bd69-36ec0b9569f9/) to make sure they are labelled correctly and [resolve non-issues](https://hackmd.io/x0SNPU84Rems6wikVhfHBA#Reasons-to-resolve-bugs) if needed. For bugs that are older than 30 days, work with Justin to figure out assignment (TBD).

## Fixing bugs
1. If a bug is fixed, resolve the bug as fixed and link the PR which fixed the bug in discussion.
2. For bugs which cannot be fixed and need to make exceptions:
- High/medium impact bugs: they need to go through [exception workflow](https://microsoft.sharepoint-df.com/teams/ExDA11y/_layouts/15/Doc.aspx?sourcedoc={5d00802a-c850-417a-82a4-c14496e5d61e}&action=edit&wd=target%28Governance.one%7C90bee4d0-64bf-40e6-b2f1-5415084dc77c%2FException%20Process%7C6c828dfe-27e7-4ac1-9cb3-bfd4619388f9%2F%29) to get approval.
- Low impact bugs: No approval needed. Add bug with `A11yExceptionRequested` tag, justification, and ETA for fixing.

## Resolve bugs
1. External
- resolve bug as Deferred (TODO: need to allow External resolved reason)
- Add `External` tag (remove if External reason is added)
- No need to file bug to Edge (TBD who is responsible for this)

2. Lack of repro steps
- Add comment to request updating bug with [template](https://aka.ms/fluentuia11ybuga)
- Resolve bug as cannot repro

3. Cannot repro: resolve bug with reason "cannot repro"

*For bugs created by trusted testers, they cross validate and close/re-activate resolved bugs in 3-5 business days.*

## Other notes
- WCAG2.1 will start impact compliance grading from Mar 2021.
