# Tier 1 - Partner Engagments
The following outlines the current list of Tier 1 partners engagements that the Fluent UI React team.
## Tier 1 partners receive the following support:
1. Collect insights and feedback from the respective product team
2. Create a shared scoped bill of work for an initiative (e.g. address top 5 pain points of the product team)
3. Dedicated meeting (cadence determined by two teams) to provide clear timelines and status for any work items within the bill of work
4. Receive one dedicated engineering contact to answer questions, implement solutions, and help on implementing items on the bill of work
5. Provide satifaction feedback on the initative to help improve the partnership process moving forward
## How are Tier 1 partnerships determined?
Tier 1 partnerships are evaluated on a case by case basis and is not strictly a quantitative forumal.
The follow are a series of aspects measured by the Fluent UI React team to determine Tier 1 partnerships:
1. Customer Impact of the Product - typically measured by MAU
2. Busniess Impact of the Product - typically measured in revenue, % growth
3. Current organization and business strategy alignment
4. Willingness to contribute solutions to Fluent UI
These aspects do not all have equal weights and at this time is somewhat subjective, but our team is working to try and make this process more clear and measured.

### Partnership Summary
Azure Portal and the Fluent UI React team are working together to fully support the Azure Portal team moving away from a KnockOut based solution to a ReactJS solution based on Fluent UI React. This solution will also empower their ecosystem of 200+ developer teams that build portal extensions.
The main effort is to:
1. Identify gaps in the Fluent Design System where it didn't meet the needs of Azure.
2. Contribute back solutions to the Fluent Design Language, Design Toolkits, and Fluent UI Libraries.
3. For solutions that are Azure specific get agreement on Azure product specific specialization from the Fluent Design System and those changes will remain product specific
