# Topics Grease Pencil Rendering Meeting
## Grease Pencil Fills
- Current state:
- Triangulation of strokes happens on every geometry change (on the CPU side).
- Triangles are saved to file as part of the DNA
- Reason for this is because the CPU triangulation would be very slow if you have to generate it when opening the file.
- Problems:
- Large file size due to stored triangles
- Slow triangulation, causes lots of lag when editing strokes
- Questions:
- Can triangulation for rendering fills be done entirely on the GPU?
- Support for rendering shadows cast by GP fills might not be needed if we have geometry nodes support and can procedurally convert to meshes.
- Would potentially solve the problems above.
- Users cannot edit this data anyway. It is only needed for rendering.
## Stroke rendering
- Would it be possible to render stamp textures not only on GP points but at equal distances along the polyline?
- What are the potential issues here?
- What would need to change for this to become technically possible?
