  • Your task is to design a VR/AR application for a CNC machine manufacturer. The application should enable customers of the manufacturer to get a feeling about the working of the machine and discover possible inconsistencies of customer inputs: Unrealistic dimensions, final shapes etc. How the requirements are related? The adopted CNC machine tool is a large and heavy mill-turn machine with the width up to eleven meters and weighted about 35 tons. A head-mounted display (HMD) is attached to the developed VR CNC machine tool for the immersion viewing. A user can see around the 3D scene of the large mill-turn machine and the operation of the virtual CNC machine can be actuated by bare hand. Coolant can be added to demonstrate more realistic operation Collision detection function is added to make the VR machine tool motions more authentic

  • This lab exercise’s topic is LoRaWAN. We will use the LoRa Boards provided by the IoT-LAB: ST B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards with ST MEMS extension X-NUCLEO-IKS01A2. We will set up a LoRaWAN application which sends data over a network server; finally, we will connect our app to an application server (for a graphical presentation of our data. We will use the same setup as we did for lab exercises 1 & 2: Ubuntu 18.04. (VM) with RIOT-OS and the IoT-Lab. Document your work with screenshots and thorough explanation where applicable. Group members: <Gaelle Knibbeler, Anna Kastlunger, Judyta Krzyzak> Move to your examples directory in RIOT-OS and look for the example lorawan and follow the steps in

  • Helpful resources: This lab exercise’s topics are sensors and CoAP. We will use the sensors provided by the M3 node in the IoT-LAB. We will use the same setup as we did for lab exercises 1 & 2: Ubuntu 18.04. (VM) with RIOT-OS and the IoT-Lab. The node is – again – IoT-Lab’s m3-node. Group members: <Anna Kastlunger, Gaelle Knibbeler, Judyta Krzyzak> Download the zip files from Moodle: lab3_01_sensors.zip lab3_02_coap.zip

  • In this exercise you will learn how to implement basic crypto operations on constrained resources. We will use the same setup as we did for lab exercise 1. Ubuntu 18.04. (VM) with RIOT-OS and the IoT-Lab. The node is – again – IoT-Lab’s m3-node. Group members: <Anna Kastlunger, Gaelle Knibbeler, Judyta Krzyzak> RIOT Documentation Link: https://riot-os.org/api/index.html I. IoT-Security WrapUp Describe the top 5 of the OWASP Top 10 IoT Vulnerabilities thoroughly (in your own words!).

  • Team: Kastlunger Anna, Knibbeler Gaelle, Krzyzak Judyta A nationwide gas supplier wants to monitor its gas pressure regulation stations. The task of these stations is to reduce the gas pressure from the distribution network to the supply network for the individual households. The central system has the task to receive and process data coming from the stations and to store them in a database. There are about 5000 gas pressure-reducing stations spread over the country. Only a limited amount of these stations (<400), mainly in the urban area, is connected to the company’s communication network. All other stations have neither power supply nor network connection.
