Kat has been contributing to a publicly-available data set related to international foods and their nutritional values for the past 3 years. People who need nutrition information about foods consult this data when they need information about foods that aren't included in the United States Food Data Central website. We need data about diverse foods! Kat is also the co-founder of ScienceStories.io, a multimedia biographies website centering the lives of people from diverse backgrounds in STEM fields.
