# Outreach Team One-Liners

Ambassadors are the representatives of Fedora. They are responsible for helping to grow the contributor base, and to act as a liaison between other FLOSS projects and the Fedora community.

Ambassador Emeritus is a group of retired Ambassadors who are greatly appreciated for their commitment to Fedora's mission and vision.

The Fedora Join Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to set up and maintain channels that let prospective contributors engage with the community.

Advocates are passionate contributors who want to participate in community events, represent Fedora and help grow the user and contributor community.

Community Operations (CommOps) provides tools, resources, and utilities for different sub-projects of Fedora to improve effective communication.

The Fedora Marketing Team ensures that people in Fedora can consistently explain to everyone what Fedora is, why the project can help them, and how they can help the project.

## Revamp Info

This objective will be an initiative to revamp several community outreach teams within Fedora that are struggling to function, or need more support to truly become a success. The objective will bring together Ambassadors, Ambassador Emeritus, Join SIG, and Advocates all under the same umbrella of CommOps in a clear and cohesive structure.

The desired outcome for the Community Outreach Revamp is for Fedora’s outreach teams to be functioning successfully. The teams should be reinvigorated, understand their different roles clearly, and have all the tools to effectively outreach. Another desired outcome for this revamp is to rebuild contributor fulfillment in various ways.
