--- tags: info --- # Schedule <!-- *Last updated on 28/02/2024.* --> The FAIR4RS program kicks off with 6 half-days online sessions of the Coderefinery workshop (March 12-14 and 19-21 from 09:00 – 13:30 hrs each day), covering a broad spectrum of research software essentials. Following the workshops, you'll engage in a structured sequence of activities, including individual project work and three seminars for planning and sharing results and learnings. During the program, after the kick-off, you can book time with one of the DCC-support staff members experienced in software development and data management. The activities end with a final seminar focused on showcasing your refined FAIR research software project, and your main takeaways. **Topics** that we will cover during the program: - **Reproducibility:** How to make sure your project is reproducible by others, tips, tricks and considerations. - **Documentation:** This includes what to document, different levels of documentation, tools for documentation, tips and tricks. - **Research Software and Data Publishing:** Having research software and data outputs ready for publication (FAIR), including tools and workflows that can help in achieving this. - **Research Software development:** We touch upon best practices on collaborative software development, version control, refactoring, testing and code quality, and automated workflows. <!-- The FAIR4RS program consists of these main parts: - Participants will join a Code Refinery workshop that takes place in six half-days, 21-23 & 28-30 March 2023. - Participants join weekly sessions to practice applying the Code Refinery lessons to their own research project. Each session will focus on a particular topic. - Week 11 and 12 are scheduled for participants to work on their own project goals. - A final event will conclude the program, where the results of each project will be shared. --> | **Week** | **Date** | **Time** | **Event** | **Location** | |:----------- |:------------ |:----------- |:---------------------------- |:----------------------------- | | **Week 01** | 12-14 March | 09:00-13:30 | CodeRefinery Workshop Week 1 | [online](https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftudelft.zoom.us%2Fj%2F96858295800&data=05%7C02%7CRaul.Ortiz%40tudelft.nl%7C520d5c22e34442ff409708dc385a1cfb%7C096e524d692940308cd38ab42de0887b%7C0%7C0%7C638447206875855360%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=awR9m%2BekKAWP2xo1%2BaJQmIXpaSzJEIqZZue4mNm832E%3D&reserved=0) | | **Week 02** | 19-21 March | 09:00-13:00 | CodeRefinery Workshop Week 2 | [online](https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Ftudelft.zoom.us%2Fj%2F96858295800&data=05%7C02%7CRaul.Ortiz%40tudelft.nl%7C520d5c22e34442ff409708dc385a1cfb%7C096e524d692940308cd38ab42de0887b%7C0%7C0%7C638447206875855360%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=awR9m%2BekKAWP2xo1%2BaJQmIXpaSzJEIqZZue4mNm832E%3D&reserved=0) | | **Week 03** | 28 March | 15:30-17:00 | Kickoff Seminar | Wim Crouwelzaal (IO / IDE) | | **Week 04** | 4 April | 14:00-17:00 | Consultations (40 min slots) | As indicated in booking system | | **Week 05** | 8 - 12 April | - | Individual Project Work | - | | **Week 07** | 18 April | 14:00-17:00 | Consultations (40 min slots) | As indicated in booking system | | **Week 08** | 25 April | - | Midterm Seminar | Wim Crouwelzaal (IO / IDE) | | **Week 09** | 29 April-3 May | - | Individual Project Work | - | | **Week 10** | 6 - 10 May | - | Individual Project Work | - | | **Week 11** | 16 May | 14:00-17:00 | Consultations (40 min slots) | As indicated in booking system | | **Week 12** | 20 - 24 May | - | Individual Project Work | - | | **Week 13** | 31 May | 14:00-16:30 | Final presentation | Blue room (Library) | *Weeks 4 to 12 include Individual Project Work in addittion to the events indicated. **Consultations are provided bi-weekly on Thursdays.
