## The MLX story

Bes and Izaak met on FAC2 in 2014. They have since built successful careers in software development. In 2023, they returned to Founders and Coders to set up the Machine Learning Institute (MLX).

MLX acts as a separate team within FAC, offering Skills Bootcamps and apprenticeship in data engineering and AI.

Their approach builds on the FAC model, but is different in significant ways.

1. The level is more advanced. the audience is experienced engineers or academics.

The result is perhaps the most advanced AI training programme in the country supported by a learning platform that tracks learner progress in ways that we have not previously been able to approach.
