Sarah's brief was to increase engagement from under-represented groups, starting with women. --- Under Sarah's management, attendance at our weekly coding meetups has grown from an average of 15 to 28 people. --- Meanwhile, the number of women on our Software Foundation has gone from only 2 in January to 8 in May. --- Despite all other competing priorities, embracing diversity was our top priority when we started the current hiring cycle. --- Since Sarah joined us, we have averaged one new hire per month. --- And there is still penty to do. --- ## Our journey: future --- > *"How are you going to scale?"* Ofsted Inspector, Thematic survey visit, March 2022 --- > *"How are you going to scale?"* Skills Bootcamps Quality Assurance and Improvement Team Lead, DfE, June 2022 --- > *"How are you going to scale?"* Programme Director, Gatsby Charitable Foundation, July 2023 --- ### But first... --- - ##### This very new team needs to be given time to settle - ##### We need to sort out our documentation and processes - ##### The AI apprenticeship needs to bed in - ##### We need to navigate a very challenging job market --- That's it.
