# "One step at a time" --- We are probably missing some steps, they are not strictly in sequence, and they overlap. --- ### Step 1: stabilise our cashflow - In hand - Make sure the Skills Bootcamp money comes in by mid-month and the apprenticeship money soon after. --- ### Step 2: Delay January cohort? - As of now, we have no apprenticeships lined up - Delaying the cohort will release some capacity - We can re-start as soon as we have 8 or more apprenticeships lined up, see next step --- ### Step 3: Focus on LOTI - Conversations have already started - Several local authorities are already engaged - Apprenticeships likely to start early(ish) in 2024 - Needs a discovery phase (starting now) - May entail significant curriculum changes - Will also require borough-specific applicants --- ### Step 4: New SB curriculum - Work already started - Delivering to FAC29B in November - Need to prepare for January intake --- ### Step 5: More employment support - Work already started - To cover the post-Bootcamp period - Mondays (online) - Tuesdays/Saturdays (in-person)? - Evolution of Unschool --- ### Step 6: Get ready for the MLX platform - Work already started - https://accounts.mlx.institute/ - Being built initially to support the AI programme - Learner assessment v0.1 within weeks - Employability, Admin+ILR support to follow - Accepting feature requests by end of year --- ### Step 7: New apprenticeship curriculum - Already under discussion - To follow on from the new SB curriculum - More modular - DevOps pathway - AI engineering pathway --- ### Step 8: Spend more of our SB funding - We have started 30 out of 72 places so far - if we start 24 in January, that's 54 - that leaves 18 places left unspent - If we delay apprenticeship starts, we would have capacity for a full-time programme --- ### Step 9: Level 4 Data analyst - If Software Developer apprenticeships do not pick up, this might be an alternative route. - We already know it is of interest to local authorities who are a serious potential market (see LOTI above).
