7. The facilitator
8. Accelerated apprenticeships
---
### 1. Motivated learners
We build motivation through the application process, which includes meetups, projects and workshops.
---
### 2. In person
We are not fans of online learning. Where possible, programmes are in-person.
---
### 3. Project based
Learning proceeds through a series of projects of increasing complexity.
---
### 4. Learning in groups
Projects, individual and group presentations, tutorials, group discussions, and group crits.
---
### 5. Mastering the material
As a complement to group learning, we set time aside for self-paced mastery learning. We use third party platforms and are also developing our own.
---
### 6. Adaptability
Juniors need to know enough to be useful, which means learning one thing well, but they also need to be adaptable, to pick new things up quickly.
---
### 7. The facilitator
An apprentice developer who acts as a classroom facilitator, in addition to building software.
---
### 8. Accelerated apprenticeships
Ensures that candidates reach a high degree of competence before interviewing with employers.
