## Previous meeting wrap-up

Actions → outcomes:
- Bindist and prelease + GHCup: Hécate replied in the Discourse thread, plan it as Future Work™.
- Missing changelogs for custom setup: f-a asked sheaf, it will be added in the end.
- Update wiki with different kinds of pre-release type. Done (Mikołaj+Artem)

## Current affairs

- (Artem) cabal-install-3.12.1.0 release is slowly getting out of the backport hell.
* Artem: merge three-four backports to get CI working, we are stuck on them.
After that, hopefully we can backport other backports in one sweep.
- (Andreas) [#9917](https://github.com/haskell/cabal/issues/9917) Can we fix it (i.e. just output a warning) *before* cabal-install gets a proper release?
* Proposed solutions: 1) drop it; or 2) drop it add a warning. 2) is better but takes more work.
* **action**: Andreas writes in the issue. Gathering consensus is very important, then we can act fast and hopefully squeeze it in in 3.12.0.1.

- (f-a) More [Cabal exact-print](https://discourse.haskell.org/t/pre-proposal-cabal-exact-print/9582) thrashing by Jappie. I have summoned Gershom, if anyone has helpful ideas, please contribute to the thread.

- (f-a) Assorted problems for compilation on MacOS [#9998](https://github.com/haskell/cabal/issues/9998). Workaround given, can we close the issue or there is more to it to investigate? (cannot test because not on MacOS).
