# Community moderators survey
First of all thank you for your time answering these questions! We really value your support and appreciate your input! 🙏
# **What is this about?**
The [AKASHA Foundation](https://akasha.org/) is a non-profit born at the intersection of blockchain and collective intelligence. We believe that Ethereum is more than a technology for freedom. Ethereum is also a world-changing community of millions of hearts and minds. It is totally unacceptable for our interactions to remain at the mercy of centralized platforms.
We are developing a [framework](
https://github.com/AKASHAorg/akasha-world-framework) to deploy decentralised social communities that rely on a tech stack compatible with Ethereum and IPFS. Our first implementation is https://ethereum.world/.
Currently in closed alpha it features a simple [microblogging app (AKASHA app)](https://akasha.ethereum.world/social-app/feed), but the framework will allow more integrations and functional enhancements in the future. You can find the code here:
https://github.com/AKASHAorg/akasha-world-framework
Before we can open akasha.ethereum.world to a wider audience we need a moderation approach that is build with the values of decentraisation in mind. We want to empower decentralised social communities to govern themselves.
Your answers will help us better understand the current challenges and shortcomings of moderating (crypto-)communities using web2 social platforms.
Beyond this survey we are happy to invite you to stay in touch and if you want contribute as the moderation toolbox for decentralised social networks will evolve in the coming months. To receive an access code to the alpha just drop us a message at **alpha@ethereum.world**
**How will we use your answers?**
Your privacy is of highest importance for us. The information you provide here will be not associated with your name, pseudonym or any information that could reveal your identity whatsoever. It will also not be published in any form that allows to deduce such information. Your answers may be grouped in cathegories such as "Reddit, crypto related community" or "Mastodon instance with crypto affinity" (not even by subreddit/ instance).
